Savannah
The first nuclear-power cargo ship

     

NS Savannah was the first nuclear-powered cargo ship.  After her, only three more were ever built.   Savannah also holds the title of the first nuclear-powered vessel to cross the Atlantic Ocean.  Designed as a showboat, her pretty lines and luxurious staterooms were more important than cargo capacity.
