PEREGRINE GALLEY

The Peregrine galley was built 1700 in the Royal Navy Dockyard at Sheerness in the Thames estuary. In 1716 she was refitted as a royal yacht in Deptford and was renamed Carolina. King Georg I made six voyages on her 1714 - 1726 to visit his beloved duchy Hanover.
