Spring 2019 was
the most pleasurable time for us so far. In this
season we restored/repaired five model ships
that were extremely rare and of world-class
quality. One model was a permanent display
on the
superyacht Elisa; two were from a
serious model ship collector who was the founder
and owner of
Ayres
Hotels chain; and a pirate ship model
built by a prisoner who made headline in a
magazine over 70 years ago. The 55" long
pirate ship caught tremendous interest from
everyone who visited our shop during the
restoration and we are posting its photos here
for your enjoyment.
The sails must be
replaced and the most challenging feature was
the paintings on them. And our artists managed
successfully.
