1925 Teaser

The award-winning Teaser became famous by winning the celebrated time trial against the Twentieth Century Limited from New York City to Albany in 1925. She beat the record by more than an hour. The Twentieth Century Limited was the fastest train on the rails at that time.

The avid raceboat enthusiast Edsel Ford saw the famous Teaser in action and
contacted the yard that built the Teaser and had a copy built for his own personal use, naming it the Typhoon.

This Teaser model features:

- 1:10 scale

- Scratch-built from official plans.

-
Plank-on-frame construction.

-
Heartwood Honduras Mahogany.  This best mahogany type is used by real boat builders.

-
Deck is made of real individual thin strips of  planks, not a large piece of wood with faked lines.

- 11 layers of paint and varnish.  Each was left to dry and micro sanded before apply another layer.

- Precisely duplicates the real boat's elegantly curved hull and wealth of detailing

-
Realistic gauges, switches...

- Epoxy waterproof.
