DELTA QUEEN steamboat
 A National Historic Landmark

Built in 1926, the 174-passenger Delta Queen was the last traditional steamboat carrying overnight passengers on America's inland waterways.  She hearkened back to a bygone era with stately wooden cabins and hardwood-paneled public rooms.

As of June 2009, Delta Queen is docked in Chattanooga, Tennessee and has been converted into a hotel. Fans of the Delta Queen have been lobbying Congress to extend the exemption, allowing the boat to resume operations on the nation's rivers.

Delta Queen's owner, Ambassadors International, is looking for a buyer who is committed to returning it to the water.

The lease Ambassadors International signed with a Chattanooga entrepreneur to operate the Delta Queen as a hotel requires the ship's priceless wooden and brass interior as well as its machinery to be left intact so the vessel can someday return to cruising.

About this primarily wood Delta Queen riverboat boat model:

- Superior hollow hull, hollow hull construction (very important)

- Hollow superstructure is comprised of many individual thin pieces of wood glued together, not several solid pieces of wood stacking on top one another.

- Windows are cutouts (not black decals nor painted indentation). They are clean, uniform, and aligned.

- The wheel works: it can be manually rotated.

- Lighting feature is included. A boat is not a riverboat without beautiful lighting. LED light powered by standard 9v battery for your convenience. Our model has realistic and beautiful lighting, including navigation light. Cheap model makers can never keep up our with genuine artistic design and engineering ability.

For other sizes, please send us an email for a quote. DON'T BE FOOLED by the other models out there (yes, all of them). They are very wrong in many features; They miss important details. A quick look and you can see no DQ on the smokestack, incomplete pipe organ, very bad hull. There are many more but we do not waste time to list them here. They are a disgrace to the real ship, a shame to be on display.

Model is built per commission only. We require only a small deposit (not full amount, not even half) to start the process $900. The remaining balance won't be due until the boat is completed, in several months.

"Hello Frank. received model today. Can't tell you in words how to describe this model. The detail is out of this world. Thank you very much for the lights, won't look the same without them. Got to mount the model and then enjoy. Thanks again and hope to do business again with you in the future. Bill"

"The model arrived today.  A day early. The hour spent unpacking it was well worth it. What a magnificent model. And it lights up... There was a second small lifeboat wrapped separately. I almost missed it. Some very minor damage to the gang way which was easily fixed with super glue. Bruce"

On December 4, 2018, president Donald Trump signed into law a measure that renews the vessel's exemption from the 1966 Safety at Sea Act. The act enables the Delta Queen to return to overnight cruise service through 2028 after repairs to the 91-year-old steamboat are complete. Please help preserve the beautiful Delta Queen here. We want to help: 5% of the sale proceed of all Delta Queen models will be donated to the National Trust.
